Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m. on May 2nd, 2008

2. Adjustments to & Adoption of the Agenda

4. Chair Report: By Chair, Neal Harkness
- Betty is receiving a pace maker. Please sign the card being passed around
- We have a button machine that we will take advantage of for all of our candidates
- Please ask people at the polls to volunteer for a campaign
- I am pround of Wald County at the convention. (Donna added that Neal, Barbara, and Katy stepped up at the convention.) There was no tension about both candidates. Arden Manning noted that he could not believe that we inputted the caucus results so quickly, big thank you to Katy.
5. Vice Chair's Report: By Barbara Moran
- Our Waldo County delegation was united, nobody disagreed at the convention about our candidates. I am proud of the job all of our delegates and alternates did. There were more alternates than places to upgrade. The MDP needs a process in place to un-upgrade alternates that were upgraded that should not have been.
6. Treasurer's Report: By Betty Johnson
- No report - absent
6. Secretary's Report: By Richard Burk
- No report.
7. Campaign and Candidate Report: by Walter Ash
- No report - absent
8. Fundraising Report: by Roland Magnan
- No report due to focus on convention
8. Research and Information Report: by Neal Harkness
- Still no chair, but a couple of people are interested. See Neal afterwards because he is reorganizing it.
9. Pass the hat – 37.85 collected
10. Other Reports:
- The following candidates spoke for a few minutes providing status: House #42 – Seth, House #41 – Veronica, House #43 – Hal, Senate #23 – Diane, Senate #23 - Joe
- Heather Martin-Zboray our Field Director spoke for a few minutes. Now that the convention is over, we will have a session about ranked choice voting with Matt Dunlap. Katy Jane spoke saying that phone banking is happening from 4pm-8pm Monday through Friday. We are canvassing Lincolnville tomorrow, Northport on the 14th, Swanville on the 21st, the more people, the more fun we have. We canvas non-republican homes. We have 9 people signed up to phone bank this coming Wednesday and we need more people to staff the headquarters for all the work to be done.
11. Unfinished business
- The convention – Neal spoke about what went well, what didn't and discussion ensued. The following people participated in the discussion: Neal, Linda, Diane, Heather, Joe, Rob, Percy, Faith, and Monique.
12. New Business
- Linda would like Hal to provide his background
- Charlotte made it know that there is a petition going around to repeal Real ID. Please sign the petition and volunteer to help.
- Neal spoke about a program that the Kennebec County democrats use called Drinking Liberally. We will meet at the 3 Tides after the meeting for those interested. The point of the program is to meet over drinks and talk politics.
12. The next meeting is July 11th at 7pm at headquarters
